Trucks will have to get better mpg, U.S. says

Trucks will soon join small vehicles as being governed by federal requirements to improve mileage and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. The push is part of a move towards cleaner fuel, such as the wind turbines seen here off Interstate 10 near Banning, Calif.Future tractor-trailers, school buses, delivery vans, garbage trucks and heavy-duty pickup trucks must do better at the pump under first-ever fuel efficiency rules proposed by the federal government.
