Dennis Gage, host of My Classic Car on Speed TV and noted mustache aficionado, had a particularly rough Christmas this year. According to the Indianapolis Star, Gage’s home in southern Indiana caught fire and was subsequently destroyed. His wife and son were home at the time but managed to escape without injury. Sitting next to the house is Gage’s detached garage, which is home to several classic cars and motorcycles. The garage also escaped the fire without injury and his collection was unharmed.
That’s certainly great news about his cars and bikes, but at the end of the day all of that stuff is just that – stuff – and it can be replaced. We’re very happy to hear that his family made it out of the house safely and hope that the affable auto aficionado and his family rebound quickly. Thanks for the tip, beammeup1701!
